What Do Gymnastics Classes for Preschoolers Look Like?

If you've got a preschooler who loves to climb, tumble, and never sit still, gymnastics might be the perfect outlet. But what actually happens in a class for little ones? Here's a look at what preschool gymnastics looks like at Flip Out, and how to find the right fit for your child's age and energy level.

FUNdamental Gymnastics (Ages 3.5–5.5)

Our FUNdamental Gymnastics classes are the main program we recommend for preschoolers. These classes build confidence and strength while introducing gymnasts to age-appropriate equipment in a way that feels like play.

Through fun circuits and drills, athletes learn essential gymnastics skills that support fine motor development and body control. Kids rotate through tumbling, vaulting, bars, beam, and balance skills, with every class designed to help preschoolers grow strong gymnastics foundations.

Expect lots of movement, plenty of encouragement from our coaches, and a class structure that keeps kids engaged without feeling overwhelmed.

Me & You Gymnastics (Ages 1–3.5)

For our youngest athletes, Me & You Gymnastics is a caregiver and toddler class built for bonding as much as skill building. Together, you and your little one will sing songs, work through obstacle courses, and try out beginner skills on bars, beam, vault, and tumbling.

It's less about perfecting technique and more about growing, giggling, and celebrating every milestone together. If your toddler loves to move and you want to be right there with them, this class is a great starting point.

Tiny Tumblers Creative Camp (Ages 3–5)

Looking for something a little more immersive? Our half-day Tiny Tumblers Creative Camp blends gymnastics, art, music, and early education into a fun-filled day. Whether your little one is tumbling across the mat, getting creative with an art project, or laughing through a game in the courtyard, they're building real skills in a space they love.

From confidence and coordination to language and early learning, Tiny Tumblers nurtures development through play, the way kids learn best. Our caring coaches guide each camper through a day that feels anything but structured. Just pure, joyful childhood.
